West Wales Beaches
Dolbryn is close to many beautiful beaches along the West Wales coast. Here are our favourites, and most are less than an hour's drive.
Ceredigion

Newquay Beach - a lovely sandy beach in the historic resort town of Newquay.

Tresaith - a popular beach with surfers and sailors, this lovely little beach can be busy on sunny days!

Aberporth - just a short walk along the coast path from Tresaith, Aberporth is an old fishing community centred around an enclosed sandy beach.

Cwmtydu - a hidden gem along the Cereidigion coast, this quiet beach is a haven for seals and their pups in late summer.

Aberaeron - one of the most popular towns along the Ceredigion coast, Aberaeron's beach is a long rock and shingle stretch.

Mwnt - One of our favourites, Mwnt is a small and sheltered sandy cove not far from Cardigan.
Pembrokeshire

Newgale Sands - famous for its glorious two mile stretch of golden sands. Beach heaven!

Tenby Castle Beach - combine a bit of history with a trip to the beach and this picturesque sandy cove.

Saundersfoot Beach - this large, flat beach is very popular with families in the summer months, so there's always plenty going on!

Poppit Sands - another favourite of ours and just a 25 minute drive from Dolbryn. This lovely stretch of beach has gorgeous views over Cardigan Island.

Whitesands Beach - one of the most well-known in Pembrokeshire, this gorgeous stretch of fine, golden sand is just perfect on a hot and sunny day.

Brooadhaven South - Another popular summer beach destination and it's easy to see why with glorious views across Stackpole.

Manorbier Bay - this sheltered cove beach is popular with surfers and sunbathers, and is a short walk from the historic castle in Manorbier village.

Freshwater West and East - used as a location for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, as well as Robin Hood, these beaches are real gems.

Marloes Sands - another popular filming location, this stunning beach was used recently to film Snow White and The Huntsman.
Carmarthen Bay

Cefn Sidan Beach - renowned as one of the finest beaches in Europe this fabulous beach seems to go on forever! The 8 mile stretch of sand is truly one of the treasures of Carmarthenshire.

Pendine Sands - another world famous beach, known for the location of the World Land Speed attempts in the 1920s and 30s.
